Description Michael G. Hansen 2009-02-27 22:19:12 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When using the search field in SystemSettings, only the active tab ("General" or "Advanced") is searched, but not both. If one looks for a setting without knowing whether it is advanced or not, one has to look at both tabs.

I think it would be good to have an option to merge them into one view, for example using a checkbox. Also, the search field could search both tabs at once. This would make it faster to find the settings that one wants to change.

Both views are going to be merged in the new SystemSettings layout (to hopefully arrive for KDE4.4)
Thanks

System Settings reorganisation removed general / advanced categories.
