Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Tested on cbr, djvu pdf files. Open any file with a lot of non-white area. Zoom in. Zoom in. Zoom in. ... at some point the page is zoomed in (you can see it by the size of the scrollbars) but you will see only white sheet, nothing else.

Screenshot in this case is not necessary ;-) million white pixels, and that's it. Pdf file follows, but please not it happens for any file I know, this one is just as clear case, because it is all black. Open it and keep zooming, at some point you will get the white page, despite it is all black.

If you make the okular window as small as possible from fit-to-page it takes (at least for me) 20 zoom-ins to get white page instead of black.
Execute kdebugdialog, find the okular debug area 4700 and activate it. Then open the document with okular from command line, and see the output. Do you get a couple of lines saying that has run out of memory?
Yes, when the transition from black to white happens there is new line of output: okular(8174)/okular (app) Okular::DocumentPrivate::sendGeneratorRequest: Running out of memory on page 0 (4767x4767 px); At the same time (I mean just after this message appeared) I switch to another tab of Konsole and run "free". free -m total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 3910 3435 475 0 70 2394 -/+ buffers/cache: 970 2940 Swap: 0 0 0
I happen to encounter the same (or similar) issue with this complex PDF map. Zoom in a lot, and the screen gets blank (default settings, except "agressive" behaviour, KDE 4.4.1, Archlinux). What about this issue ?? something new?? I'm still getting blank page while zooming my city transport map.
