Version: 0.70.0 (using KDE 4.2.0) Compiler: gcc version 4.3.2 [gcc-4_3-branch revision 141291] (SUSE Linux) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs Hello, I want to add a ICQ-User in Kopete to the contact list. Kopete creates an empty entry of the user with status-icon, but no more information like ICQ-number or ICQ-username. If I click on the new contact, a dialog window pop up on the desktop with follow message in german: "Der Benutzer ist momentan nicht erreichbar. Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass sie verbunden sind und verwenden Sie ein Protokoll mit Unterstützung für Offline-Nachrichtenversand oder warten Sie, bis der Benutzer wieder online ist." In english: "This user is not reachable at the moment. Please try a protocol that supports offline sending, or wait until this user comes online" I think, the Kopete ICQ-protocol has support already offline protocol. Unfortunately the ICQ-user never add or update the user information in the contact list of Kopete, if the user are online. I look into ~/.kde4/share/apps/kopete/contactlist.xml but I don't find the new ICQ-user with ICQ-number. It seems, that Kopete doesn't save the new contact. So, I classified that Kopete is broken in KDE 4.2 (Factory). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. File -> Add contact 2. Enter a ICQ-number and click okay (the user will be add to contact list) 3. click on the offline-user and you see the dialog window. 4. If the user go online, you see never any message or update information of the user. Actual Results: ICQ-user information doesn't update or refresh, if user are online or offline. The entry of user always empty. Expected Results: Adding ICQ-User and retrieve information about the user. The entry of the new user should show either ICQ-number or ICQ-username. openSUSE 11.1 (with all updates) KDE 4.2 (OBS Factory-Repository for openSUSE 11.1)
Can you still reproduce this?
