Description Victor 2009-02-26 11:11:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I think the same as Bug 168646. But not fixed.
Kopete crashes when i try to connect to jabber server.
Other software (tried with pidgin) work well.
Some times i've got error in xml response from server, but pidgin work well.
When i first login with pidgin and after then login with kopete - all work.

If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks :)
Comment 3 Victor 2009-02-27 09:01:54 UTC
when i install packages for debug and libqt4-sql-* all work stable.
i think the plugin statistic when not sql driver installed crashed all application.
Comment 4 Dario Andres 2009-02-27 12:04:46 UTC
Can you uninstall the "libqt4-sql-*" packages and check if you get the crash again ? (we need to fix that)
Thanks

The reporter sent me an email:
----

made this:
aptitude remove libqt4-sql-mysql libqt4-sql-sqlite
aptitude remove libglib2.0-0-dbg kdelibs5-dbg (install it for trace)

kopete is working. can't understand what's happened.
i will try to get this crash back.
----

Strange (probably you hit a corner case) , let's close this as WORKSFORME and please re-open the report if you experience the crash again.
Thanks
