I think it would be great the possibility of using the last Twitter update as status message for Kopete. It could be even a Plugin.

People who worked in the KDE Twitter widget in Plasma maybe could help.

If this is done sometime, it would be great if it can retrieve status from identi.ca, too.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
