Version: 1.2 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo) Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-gentoo-r2 I deleted a file via amarok 1.4, which moved the file to the trash. I tried to empty it, but the "empty trash button was grayed out. I don't know if it has something to do with amarok, as I probably never used trash in KDE4 before - the fact is, it cannot be emptied. http://imagebin.ca/view/uoCwMa9Z.html
After closing the Dolphin window and reopening it at Trash, is the action enabled? And after restarting the whole system ? This may be related to bug 167388 Thanks
Marking as NEEDSINFO
I have had a similar but slightly different experience. I cannot delete files of larger than ~700MB using Dolphin. After trying to do so, it would also not empty the smaller files that I had previously deleted. Delete by rm at the console works fine. I received the message: Could not read /home/[user]/.local/share/Trash/info/[filename].trashinfo.
@bernard@woodhamsresearch.co.nz: could you file a new bug report describing your issue? Thanks!
Cannot reproduce with Dolphin 17.12.2. Closing for inactivity.
