@Sebastian: can you install the "libqt4-debuginfo" package and try to reproduce the issue to generate a better backtrace? Thanks
this is a bug in Qt. i had a backtrace, posted it here and then konq lost it when i pressed back after cc'ing the wrong email address for Alexis. in any case, Alexis: try to reproduce this, it's pretty easy to trigger. the backtrace ends up in QGraphicsScene in adding a popup.
In var/log/messages i found this: Feb 24 09:25:11 linux-smeo kernel: plasma[3514]: segfault at b74a6124 ip b73502d9 sp bfe90938 error 7 in libkdecore.so.5.2.0[b7263000+240000] Feb 24 09:26:22 linux-smeo kernel: plasma[10947]: segfault at b750e124 ip b73b82d9 sp bfffb1d8 error 7 in libkdecore.so.5.2.0[b72cb000+240000] Feb 24 09:30:14 linux-smeo kernel: plasma[10985]: segfault at b750e124 ip b73b82d9 sp bfffb1d8 error 7 in libkdecore.so.5.2.0[b72cb000+240000] Feb 24 09:30:56 linux-smeo kernel: plasma[11669]: segfault at b750e124 ip b73b82d9 sp bfffb1d8 error 7 in libkdecore.so.5.2.0[b72cb000+240000]

The reporter sent me an email: ----------- I have just installed libqt4-debuginfo, kdebase4-debuginfo, and kde4-plasma- addons-debuginfo. I used valgrind and gdb (and kdbg). I have the problem with Qt 4.4 and 4.5! Another linux user has this problem (Crismon, www.suseitalia. org). GDB says: debugging info not found (?) and kdbg: program exited normally; sorry, but i can't get more information. No crash window, and plasma doesn't restart itself. In the file /var/log/messages using yast, i found an error message (see message.txt). ------- Valgrind.txt: --- linux-smeo:/home/alfonso/.wine/drive_c/Programmi/AWR/AWR2008 # valgrind
