Version:           0.60.4 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-11-generic

when i click "online", kopete does not have any respond .

I have this same issue with kopete. I use kde 4.3 rc 3. 
I use yahoo and jabber(gtalk). I can set it offline from Status on toolbar. 
But setting online won't work.
