Version: Konsole 2.1 (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Whenever I open konsole, it starts in fullscreen mode. While others find it useful, I think that the default behaviour should be starting in window mode.
> While others find it useful, I think that the > default behaviour should be starting in window mode. The default behavior is for Konsole to open in a window with 80 columns and 40 lines if you have not run it before or the last used window size if you have. Use Ctrl+Shift+F11 to take Konsole out of full screen mode then close and re-open it.
That doesn't seem to work for me. It keeps starting at full screen. I've tried closing it using alt+F4, closing it from the menu, closing the only tab I have opened and closing it from the panel.
I also noticed that when I close konsole while it is not maximized, next time I start it, it starts maximized without fullscreen. But, if I close it maximized or in fullscreen mode, the next time it will start in fullscreen mode.
Let us know if this still happens with a later KDE version.
