Description AleX 2009-02-22 11:51:40 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

One of things that annoy me when extracting files is that modification dates are set to the ones contained in the archive. If I have the filemanager set to date order, it is a mess to try to find the extracted files/folder.

There should be an option in Ark (like there is in other archive apps) to not set the modified date, e.g. leaving the current date as modification date.

Changing the default assignee in the currently open Ark bug reports to me.

I still have this issue with latest Ubuntu packages. It slows down my workflows considerably.
