Description chapinjeff 2009-02-22 02:23:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

When opening tabs in konsole, no close tab button appears.

In Settings -> Edit Current Profile -> Tabs there is an option to show 'New Tab' and 'Close Tab' buttons on the toolbar.

As for buttons on individual tabs, we tried that during KDE 4.1.x development and it caused a lot of grief with people accidentally closing tabs.

Your kidding right? You are telling me that the average user of Konsole is *less* competent than the average user of FireFox *or* Internet Explorer?

No I'm not kidding. Plus in a browser it is relatively easy to implement an 'undo close tab' feature so it doesn't matter if someone clicks a close tab button accidentally. It turned out to be much more annoying for users in the shell.
