Version: 1.11.0 (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Hi, This is a feature that I miss very much in Kmail compared to thunderbird. I am getting some mails which should belong to the same thread, but they are listed as separate mails in Kmail !! An option to thread the messages additionally by subject should be really helpful. Thanks a lot...
Have you tried the aggregation mode: Current Activity, Threaded? You can change it with the little buttons at the right of the quick search field.
I already have "Current Activity, Threaded" selected in the Aggregation Mode. But still many mails having the same subject line are shown as different threads (especially the ones sent by bugzilla for each comment). BTW, there is a separate option for grouping the mail threads based on subject line in Evolution. An option similar to that one will be really helpful. Thanks a lot...
The problem is still there in KDE 4.2.2/KMail 1.11.2 I came across this bug http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185796, which looked similar to this problem, but it says it got fixed. But I am still seeing messages with the same subject in different threads !! I am using Disconnected-IMAP. Any idea if refreshing the imap cache will help or not ? Thanks a lot...
Reindexing & Refreshing the IMAP cache didn't help, still the same issue is there. I see in the 'Customize Message Aggregation Modes'->'Groups, Threads and Sorting' that, for Threading "Perfect, by References and by Subject" is chosen by default. I think, if there is an option to choose only based on Subject, then it might group those unthreaded messages also. I am not sure.. just guessing. Could you please help me out with this? Thanks a lot...
