Version: unknown (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-11-generic The mouse genrally teleports around the middle of the screen, but I can go anywere. This happens on average every second - but can be as quick as a few milliseconds and as slow as a minute. This bug makes life imposible to do anything, I has taken me - what feels like - forever to get to this page.. It started when I first installed KDE, the first time I messes KDE up so I formatted my HDD and installed Kubuntu again... Still the same problem. - nothing apart from a nvidia graphics driver has been installed, and when I installed kubuntu obviously there was nothing installed but this bug still occured. It starts on start-up and stops on shut-down... HELP
Created attachment 31564 [details] Here is my dxdiag in vista.
I have just formatted my HDD with kubuntu x64 on it and installed ubuntu x64 in its place, I still have the same problem. Do you think it could be because it's 64 bit? If so what could be incompatible to make my mouse do this? I have uploaded my Dxdiag in vista, I hope this helps.
Would you like to try for example another desktop enviroment like gnome? I'm not sure this is fault of KDE.
I have tried Ubuntu which is gnome and it has the same problems, the ubuntu I have is 64 bit, could this lead to the mouse teleporting?
Time ago I've had a similar problem with a broken mouse... anyway this is not a KDE problem but it is on a lower level. It could be software (X.org or kernel) or hardware.
