Description Robert Ribnitz 2009-02-19 23:25:32 UTC
Version: 2.0.1 (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Sometimes, "playlists"/"folders" get loaded that contain many items. Instead of being at a loss what is happening, it might be useful to let the user know (eg. adding file 25/200), or as a (graphical) progress bar, possibly with an estimated completion time, if available (3 minutes left); depending on what is done, this progress bar should be done in its own threads, so the app stays responsive.

So sorry, please disregard this message, there was a misunderstanding with the
Google Code-In student.

I tried dragging and dropping 14 000 tracks into playlist and didn't observe any kind of delay or hang in UI, so this seems to have been fixed since, either by Amarok, Qt or computer hardware improvements. (Amarok 2.9.71)
