Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages The windows live messenger plugin can only connect once to a msn account per kopete lifetime. steps to reproduce: 1. start kopete 2. open the account list of at the bottom of the main window 3. connect an msn account (switch to "online") 4. after connection disconnect it (switch to "offline") 5. try to reconnect it current result: the status before reconnection was "offline | blocked", the icon of the account was a msn-symbol with a pause sign on it and the account doesn't reconnect. desired result: status before reconnection is a normal "offline" and the account reconnects.
Is this still valid?
Yes, this is still occuring.
I did in identity window (in contact list) 1. set wlm to online ... wait till it connects 2. set wlm to offline 3. set wlm to online ... and it connects. All this is done in identity window, am I doing something wrong?
Hm... for me it produces the problem as described. Did you also try to switch to online using the global button? For me it doesn't make a difference. Happens on two computers with different profiles. Kopete version is 0.70.2. Can I provide any additional debug output?
Seems to be fixed in 0.70.90.
