The usability of the function for selecting the 'region of interest' in the avatar image dialog could be improved by just re-using the code from gwenview for selecting an area.

Currently it is only possible to move the rectangle around, but resizing it isn't possible.

Gwenview has a nice way to make it possible to resize the rectangle - even in a fixed ration like it's needed for Kopete.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
