Description AleX 2009-02-17 18:06:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

It would be nice if Konqueror in web-browser mode would have a firefox-like autocomplete location bar, right now it is the only thing that makes me use Firefox instead of Konqueror.

Konqueror does have a location bar with automatic text completion. Could you describe in more detail what feature the Firefox location bar has that you're missing in Konqueror? Thanks!

1. url's like www.server.com/path

If you type s, it will start to appear in both Konqueror.
If you type er, it will not appear in Konqueror. It appears on firefox.
If you type p (from path), it will not appear In Konqueror, it appears on firefox
If you type at (from path), it will not appear in Konqueror, it appears on firefox.

2. Firefox also lets autocomplete from page title. Below url, firefox shows the title.

This is useful for addresses such as http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=65541 This address doesn't give much info about what the forum topic is about. However, the title "Arch Linux Forums / 2 computers, 1 root partition" does. If you start typing "2 comp" in firefox, it will appear.

Thanks for the update! I've just seen that the same thing has been reported before.
