Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package When I start KDE4.2 (archlinux's kdemod) I get several kmenu (kickoff) icons. This started when I changed from kickoff appearance to classical and then back to kickoff appearance. And whenever I do this I think it launches more and more kmenu icons at startup. I always have to erase the extra icons manually when I start kde.
OK, I think the problem is from kdemod and not KDE per se. Since Kdemod tries to use a different/custom icon for kmenu thats when the problem appears. Im gonna try solving this with kdemod people. Thanks anyway. Still Im not 100% sure, if it happens to you in "normal" KDE please let me know!!
Can you create a new user account just for testing ? Thanks
Ok, I moved/backed_up plasma config from ~/.kde4/ directory and restarted kde so it generated back the config, that solved the problem, though I dont know what this happened and probably if I play again with classic aspect of Kmenu it would happen again.
Any news on this ? Could you reproduce again? Thanks
