Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs System settings - Session manager - Confirm logout unselected = kdm looping on logout with no return to the kdm login screen. The x cursor is just there, Can be moved around and is just displaying busy on a black screen. I have to ctrl + alt + F1 To get to a console to do anything now that ctrl + alt + backspace is automatically disabled in the xorg configuration.
can you please test with the latest kdm from mandriva cooker please ?
Sorry, I had to laugh at this one. I don't know why it's funny. :) I just tried it, Turned confirm logout off and selected logout from kickoff and the system shutdown. :) It works but I think I wanted to logout. lol.
@Tony: check, what's your default leave option ;) (Session Manager), taht's for the shutdown/log out part
It works! Please close this report, kde 4.3 doesn't seem to suffer from this at all. :) Thanks, Tony
I use Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, KDE 4.3.0-0ubuntu3. I approve that kdm (or may be Xserver) crashes on choosing logout action. Display show me a console screen.
