Description Robert Willis 2009-02-16 22:01:18 UTC
Version:           1.0 (using KDE 4.1.4)
Compiler:          gcc (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12) 4.3.2
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Using the following script (named "kdialogtest"):

#!/bin/bash

var01=$(kdialog --getexistingdirectory . )

if [ $? = 1 ]; then
  echo "Cancel pressed"
  exit
fi

echo " "
echo "Directory selected was:"
echo $var01
echo " "
exit

On exit (selecting a directory and then the "OK" button), I encounter the following messages:

willisro@LAPTOP:~/kdialog$ ./kdialogtest

Processing continues normally, not adverse effects other than the above messages, but I assume they indicate something you may want to be aware of and felt I should inform you.

BTW: This is my fist bugzilla report, so have patience. Thanks.

Doesn't look like anything kdialog does. Probably something in kdelibs...
Comment 2 Jaime Torres 2010-08-30 17:27:00 UTC
Please, check again in KDE SC 4.4.x or 4.5.x. It works for me without the messages in 4.5.64. And close it if it works also for you.

This problem does not occur in the current versions of UBUNTU and KDE. (RW)
