Version: 0.70.0 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r7-20080501 When typing the desired filename for a saved conversation, if I type ".html", I get ".htmll" (and I didn't notice the first few times) because Kopete neither selects the auto-inserted "l" nor provides an input hack to discard the following character if it's also an "l".
I don't understand this report. Where are you typing a filename? How can I reproduce this?
In a chat window, choose "Save" from the "Chat" menu. Type a filename, including extension. It'll complete to ".html" as soon as you type ".htm". If you then type the "l" out of habit and press enter, you'll get a ".htmll" file because the completion didn't select the inserted "l" the way that kind of completion is expected to.
yup, can reproduce this. probably something wrong in kdelibs though.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
