Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) Installed from: Fedora RPMs I have multiple panels enabled, one at the bottom of the screen, one at the right, aligned to the bottom and another one to the right, aligned to the top. When I hover the pointer over an icon in any of the panels, the help text pops up. When I then hover the pointer over an icon in some other panel, the help text pops up at the right place but the area in which the prev. help text was shown is incorrectly rendered and the desktop wallpaper is seen. Will create an attachment to show the effect.
Created attachment 31296 [details] Image showing incorrect rendering in the place where the previous help text was shown
The konsole window in the attached image is seen. This only happens with the balloon messages that have the black background, it's not seen with the tooltip-style messages for the apps in system tray. Try with task bar, date, K Menu, etc.
Created attachment 33441 [details] Video showing the effect. This video shows the bug
BTW this is with 4.2.2 on F10

This is clearly a Xorg bug, I was able to write a xlib-only testcas (as I was asked for), but then nothing happend. If you want this bug fixed, please make some polite noise at: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22566
