Description Vicenç Juan Tomas Monserrat 2009-02-12 20:42:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I go to <a href="http://translate.google.com/">translate.google.com and:
1. Write something to translate.
2. Pulse "translate."
3. No go back, I click "translate" again.
4. Konqueror does nothing.

I see this bug <a href="https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=173869">173869 but is not fixed for me.

It does work for me, except the language is reset to the default once one hits "back".
Comment 2 Vicenç Juan Tomas Monserrat 2009-02-12 21:27:38 UTC
I sorry, but in my computer Konqueror does nothing.
Stays like this: translating ... and for a long wait never ends.

You can see this problem here http://linuxbo.homelinux.net/bloc/arxius/konqueror_problem.ogv
Comment 4 Maksim Orlovich 2009-02-14 16:17:18 UTC
Aha, thanks. I thought you meant to click the back button, but you just entered a new string on the results page, and that indeed fails to work.
Comment 5 Maksim Orlovich 2009-02-18 03:03:21 UTC
The problem appears to be KUrl(?) eating hashes with | in them, e.g.
http://translate.google.com/translate_t#en|uk|demo
Note that translating > 2000 or so byte text fragments does work since it doesn't take the URL path.
Comment 6 Maksim Orlovich 2009-02-18 16:24:00 UTC
Per David, Qt4.5 resolves this.
