Description Glenn Hayes 2009-02-12 05:35:30 UTC
Version: ver 0.5 (using KDE 3.5.10)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

There is missing functionality in the new version.
Selection list focus:
In the old version (4.04) typing a number or letter from the keyboard changed the focus on the selection list in the game. This made it convenient to remove "pencil marks" or the small symbols / numbers placed as "possibles", after using the keyboard to place a number. In the new version the selection does not change when a keyboard entry is made.

"Ctrl" key highlighting no longer works:
In 4.04 pressing the "Ctrl" key highlighted the entire board showing green cells where the currently selected symbol could be located and red where the symbol was excluded by an already existing symbol in a row, column or sector. In ver 4.13 the "Ctrl" key has no effect.

In ver 4.13 turning "show highlights" on or off in the "Settings" has no effect in the game. The row, column, cell highlighting seems to be built into the themes.

-- Wish list item --
Let me be clear I love this game, and commend and thank all who have worked on it. It is better than any other sudoku game I have found, for linux or windows. But I would like to say that I prefered the look and feel of ver 4.04. I would like to ask that the Themes be made an option, and that the game could be played with the clean interface from the old version if one whished. In my opinion the Themes don't add anything to the game play.

@Glenn: please, create a new bug report for the wish list. Don't mix up things. Thanks.
