Description DasIch 2009-02-08 18:43:14 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Unlisted Binary Package

The KWallet Python API crashes with a segfault when calling NetworkWallet.

bash-3.2$ python
Python 2.6.1 (r261:67515, Dec  7 2008, 18:56:39)
[GCC 4.3.2] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> from PyKDE4.kdeui import KWallet
>>> KWallet.Wallet.NetworkWallet()
Speicherzugriffsfehler
bash-3.2$

"Speicherzugriffsfehler" is german for segmentation fault.

This error occurs everytime i try it. Calling KWallet.Wallet.LocalWallet results in a segfault, too. I haven't tried more things.

I tested this on Arch Linux x86_64 with an Intel E6750. I tried the binary package provided by Arch and i compiled the package by myself in the current Version with gcc 4.3.3, in both cases i got a segfault.

This crash report is at least 3 years old and there were no further comments or status updates since then.

Therefore we believe that this crash is already fixed in recent KDE 4 versions or the backtrace is no longer applicable to the current KDE 4 sources.

If the crash still happens with a recent KDE version (4.10.5 or 4.11), please add an updated backtrace or provide steps to reproduce. For more information, see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

(To prevent automatic closing of this bug in the future, please set the bug status to ASSIGNED or CONFIRMED)
