Description Stephan Sokolow 2009-02-08 03:16:32 UTC
Version: 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0) (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r7-20080501

Nepomuk is an interesting technology, but it's currently only integrated with Dolphin and Gwenview while I prefer Konqueror and GQview. (I value support for embedding arbitrary KParts and while Gwenview is getting very impressive, it still doesn't support some of the things I consider non-optional like scroll-wheel image switching or an option to allow image loading to be interrupted for faster PgUp/PgDn/Scroll switching)

Naturally, I don't expect Nepomuk support in GQview, but it'd be nice to see it in Konqueror. Possibly in concert with Bug 183387 to provide the same basic information panel design.

Hi there, this bug has been identified to be related to nepomuk, the semantic searching system in prior versions of KDE. Please note that nepomuk has been replaced by Baloo. I'm going to close this bug due to the use of the new Baloo system. Please do file a new bug for frameworks-baloo if you happen to continue having issues with search.
