Version: unknown (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r7-20080501 I'd like to see a configuration option which lets me explicitly specify a view mode for the DolphinPart "Preview" button so I can keep Dolphin or Konqueror in "Details" mode but have my previews in "Icons" mode (where it's actually useful and supports icons bigger than about 48x48 or so) without having to mess around with the View Mode manually every time I want to enable/disable previews. Ideally, I'd like to be able to dump the view mode buttons from my toolbar completely so I can go for a nice task-oriented interface.
Never mind on the size limit. Seems I'd accidentally set the Icons-mode preview size while thinking I was setting the Details-mode preview size. Still not very useful to me as it is though.

I'm behind on upgrading off Kubuntu 16.04 LTS, so I can't speak to anything newer than Dolphin 15.12.3, but it's still a problem on that version. I still can't find any way to make the Preview button switch from Details view mode to Icons view mode as it enlarges the icons.
