Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages KMultiTabBar' sidebar icons do not follow the toolbar's icon size. In my opinion this is a bug, not a feature request, because the objects are in fact icons, and there is a reason that the user enlarges his icons (high DPI monitor, failing eyesight).
> and there is a reason that the user enlarges his icons (high DPI monitor, failing eyesight) Good point. Either those icons should adhere to the the size of the toolbar icons (systemsettings) or the small icons' size or their size should (best) be configurable independently by the user like it is possible for (most) other toolbars and the like.

KMultiTabBar follows the "small icon" size from the platforms' style, which is configurable in systemsettings and respected by Oxygen starting with KDE Workspace 4.4.

On a new ~/.kde folder, with Digikam 1.0.0 and KDE SC 4.4 RC1 on Kubuntu 9.10, the Digikam KMultiTabBar does not follow the "small icon" size. Might this be a bug in System Settings, or in Digikam? Should I reopen, or file a new bug? The dupe Bug 159360 seems to confirm my observation.
Are you using the Oxygen style? It probably doesn't work with any other style, as most styles hard code the small icon size.

> Are you using the Oxygen style? I was using the default icon style, which I assume was oxygen.
I was referring to the Oxygen widget style. You probably need to restart applications after changing the small icon size. If this still does not work, please reopen.
I did try to restart the applications, and even logged out and then back in (despite observing that the regular toolbar is affected immediately).
Dotan, the tool bar has two icon size settings ("Toolbar" and "Main Toolbar"). The KMultiTabBar, however, uses the "Small Icons" setting, which is the same as for regular tab bars, buttons, menu items, combo boxes etc. I just tried both digiKam and Kate (the only applications I know that are using KMultiTabBar), and their tab bars respect the styles' size for small icons.
