My mailbox contains more than 3700 mails. The initial mail checking takes a very long time, something like 5 minutes, freezing most of this time on "uploading status of messages to server". Many of the next checks are ok while some of them freeze again at the same point.

But there is no visible network nor cpu activity.

I'm connecting to an IMAP server on MS Exchange.

It does not appear anymore at least since KDE 4.3
