Description Stephan Sokolow 2009-02-04 02:02:39 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r7-20080501

Here's an idea that could make screensavers for a composited desktop more impressive: Use some kind of animated transition to enter and exit the screensaver... preferrably user-selectable independent of the screensaver itself.

They don't have to be fancy, but they could really impress people. For example, things like circle-out/in (like the stereotypical cartoon ending) or page turn.

As there are no screensavers any more I don't think that is still needed. Also the lock screen should fade out by default.
