Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Trying to end session through kickoff's option, in "leave" tab, actually turns my system off. The default option in system settings -> session manager is set to "end current session". This behavior only happens using the kickoff menu entry, using a plasmoid available in some kde package, the "end session" button does logout only, as expected. Using Alt+F2 and "logout" does logout too. Also, the logout works with "confirm logout" option set in session manager. It seams, to me, a problem with kickoff. The options in my session manager are: confirm logout - not set offer shutdown options - set default shutdown option - end current session on login - restore previous session applications to be excluded from sessions - (nothing here) I also tried to remove ~/.kde and ~/.kde4 from my home and start a new configuration, but the problem is still here. I don't know where to take more information from, but I'll be more than happy to help solving this. Thanks a lot.
Right, same for me.
There is a KSMServer related report: bug 182466 . Can you check it ? I wonder why it doesn't happen with KRunner or the Plasmoid.. Could both of the reports be indeed a Kickoff issue? Thanks
The bug 182466 is related, indeed. I have KDE 4.2.3 now and the bug is still there. Except that I can't use KRunner to logout now (there's no more logout option in this version?). With the plasmoid, the end session works *properly*. Can anyone check this too? And if I check the "confirm logout" option at session manager, everything works as expected (plasmoid and kickoff).
