Version: 4.2 (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: MS Windows Installed from: MS Windows I start Kopete and I tell it to go online, the kwallet window pops up asking for the password, I insert it and then everything (plasma, kopete and kwallet) freezes for about a minute. After that it comes back to life and everything seems to work fine with the exception that it asks again for the password even if kopete doesn't require it anymore (IM accounts are logged and online).
Are you experiencing the same if another program opens/uses the wallet, eg. konqueror or kwalletmanager?
It is the same with konqueror. Kwalletmanager isn't starting at all.
I also see this behavior on windows. I'm running Windows Vista and kde 4.2.2 (msvc) from the kde windows installer.
Do you use "three bullets" password echo mode? It could be a duplicate of bug 180482.
