Description Caleb Cushing 2009-02-01 11:08:56 UTC
Version: 1.11.0 (using KDE 4.2.0)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

sometimes kmail will say tell me that

The signature is valid and the key is fully trusted.

other times it will say that the key can't be verified

same email same key.

restarting kmail/kontact seems to be required, but also doesn't seem to be permanent fix.

no errors are given
Comment 1 Caleb Cushing 2009-02-01 17:27:16 UTC
Message was signed with unknown key.
The validity of the signature cannot be verified.
Status: Error: Signature not verified

the actual status when kmail is in error.

showing the audit log merely says general error

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
