Description Olaf 2009-01-31 23:14:54 UTC
Version: 1.10.3 (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When starting the kmail composer, the text completion DOES work automatically in the "REPLY TO" address field, but not in the "TO" address field. With the entering of a character in the "TO" address field another "TO" address field comes up underneath in which the auto completion works, surprisingly.

Clicking right-mouse-buttons in any address field shows that nothing is activated under "Text completion". Activation of "Dropdown List" does not help for the first "To" address field. Switching the text completion to "automatic" works in all address fields.

Any idea ?

best regards

Olaf

With "Automatic" text completion active in the first "To" address field and switching back to "Dropdown List" with the right-mouse-button => "Text Completion", the addresses appear nicely in the first "To" address field as dropdown list.

It works as expected for me in kmail 1.11.90 (kde 4.2.62).

Ok, my kmail version is 1.10.3, so I guess it is solved in 1.11.90...

Here using:

Qt: 4.5.0 + qt-copy-patches-936035
KDE: 4.2.66 (KDE 4.2.66 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090310))
kdelibs svn rev. 939600 / kdebase svn rev. 939602
kdepim svn rev.939627
on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.28.7

I can't reproduce neither.

It still works for me with kde 4.2.70+.

Please, reopen again if you can reproduce it with a recent KDE version.
