Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs When the screen is locked by a time-out, the input language for entering the password remains the one of the last application used, and no means for changing the language are present in the unlock dialog. The standard shortcut for the language change does not work, either. The only way to get back is kill krunner_lock process, which surely is not the most elegant way for unlocking the screen.

by "input language for entering the password" you mean the keyboard layout? I see a way to change keyboard layout in 4.3 in the unlock dialog; can you confirm this is what the bug was addressing? thanks
So do you still have this problem?
The problem exists partially. 1. If the shortcut is something like <Ctrl>+<Shift>, i.e. modifier keys only handled by xkb, then the language change works during the lock screen, shortcuts like <Ctrl>-<Alt>-K do not work. 2. Language change button does not receive focus, meaning if no mouse is present for some reason, it might be impossible to unlock the screen. Thank you!
