Version: Kile 2.0.81 (from svn Last Changed Rev: 916758) (using KDE 4.2.0) Compiler: g++ (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12) 4.3.2 OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages When a file is modified in the hard drive and reloaded in Kile, it does not show syntax highlighting any more I am using kile 2.0.81 from svn Last Changed Rev: 916758
This is a kate bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 179857 ***
I am not so sure that this is the same bug as 179857. On my system (debian sid/experimental amd64, qt 4.5.0), I have Kile 2.1.0~svn949704-1 and Kate 4.2.2-1. The loss of syntax highlighting when a file is reloaded occurs *only* in Kile and *not* in Kate. I tested it with the same file.
SVN commit 954996 by mludwig: Ensure that the highlighting mode is set again after reload. This can be seen as a work-around for a potential KatePart bug. BUG: 182299 M +10 -0 documentinfo.cpp M +1 -0 documentinfo.h WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=954996
same effect here syntax highlighting lost after 'file changed on disk' / 'reload file' in kile (kile 2.0.81 using kde 4.2.3) but not so in kate after 'documents modified on disk' / 'reload' syntax highlighting appears to remain active (kate 3.2.3 using kde 4.2.3) kubuntu packages
