Description sdb_ 2009-01-29 01:57:53 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Using dimap on kmail (localized in italian) shows only Inbox folder but none of their subfolders. Tried whiping .kde directory, but no success.
The Imap server is dovecot, cofigured to mimic courier imap. Problem occours since first version of kde4 kmail series, while on old kde3.5.X everything is working great (on same account).

Thank you for you work, guys!!!

Please check if you have in the receiving accounts selected the options "show only subscribed folders" or "show only subscribed locally folders".

Hi Jaime,

both options was unchecked. After checking the former, then the latter, then both, nothing change, even if the account is reset and added from scratch.

I forgot to mention that plain imap (not disconnected) works like a charme...

Just another notice (sorry if useless): a kmailrc (of 3.5.x series) with the very same account working, has

loadondemand=false

but the kde4.2 kmail has

loadondemand=true

Changing manually that parameter does not solve the problem.

Some other differences between the two files are

0=""                          (kde3.5.x)
0="INBOX."               (kde4.2)

Namespace:=.          (kde3.5.x)
Namespace:INBOX.=.   (kde4.2)

Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
