Description Olivier Delaune 2009-01-24 09:32:58 UTC
Version: 0.10.0-RC1 (using KDE 4.1.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

Hello,
first excuse me for my english.
When I connect extern memory such as usb key, memory card or extern hard disk, digiKam propose collecting images to me. If I agree, digiKam scans my extern memory and find image files. Problem is digiKam find also video files (.avi), audio files (.mp3), text files (configuration files, C files, h library files, ...). As a result, I have to sort my photos.

I just fixed a little problem in camera gui with mimetype wrapper. Please try again with current implemtation from svn.

digiKam collect video and audio files => it's normal because camera can provided these medias.

digiKam collect C/C++/and others stuff. It's abnormal. camera interface use Mimetype settings to sort camera contents. Check your settings. Here i cannot reproduce the problem.

Version RC2 collects always text and .C files. See screenshot : http://imagik.fr/view-rl/4149
Images which must not be collect have Raw icon like on screenshot or OOo icon (see second screenshot : http://imagik.fr/view-rl/4152)
If I click on bad images, digiKam do not know how open them and say "unable to open « bad_image.jpeg »"

Look your digiKam setup Mime settings and cleanup your customized Image configuration.

Problem is not still fixed. I used version 0.10.0 with KDE 4.2.3. digiKam finds development files (.h, .C, .o, etc)
