Version: 4.1.4 (using KDE 4.1.3) Compiler: gcc version 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages This is actually 4.1.4 (could not be selected in dropdown) I configured the ldap lookup the same way as I did in my 3.5.9 kde. There is it worked fine. The only difference that I can see is that instead of the User Name I had to enter the Bind DN (User Name is disabled). This is what I see in the error log: korganizer(31452)/kdepimlibs (kabc): "LDAP server returned the error: Operations error Additional info: 00000000: LdapErr: DSID-0C090627, comment: In order to perform this operation a successful bind must be completed on the connection., data 0, vece The LDAP URL was: ldap://ldap%40GSC.ZZ@atdc01.gsc.zz:389DC=gsc,DC=zz??one" korganizer(31452)/kdepimlibs (kabc): "Unable to load resource 'exchange'"

Oh and the LDAP Server is a Microsoft Active Directory Server
The same problem. I tried to connect to MS AD server with LDAP lookup, but there is no result - i'v got error messages. But when making ldapsearch in console - all o'k
Update with KDE 4.2. LDAP lookup itself works. I still have slight problems when using an ldap addressbook. It finds all the names and then reports an error that it got an empty result. Very annoying. But After filtering properly (and thus getting rid of the limit exceed problem of our AD server) on email the cache does work. I set my address book to always go against the local cache and that works fine now.
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
