Created attachment 30458 [details] backtrace after crash
> Version: 2.0.3 (using KDE 4.0.5) This is a bit old, could you please update to a more recent version (like KDE 4.1.x)?
Greats Pino I'm using the hardy backports packages, allways. I'm im a little conservative about it. So, if it is 'old nuddles' for you, me is it also OK and you can close the bug-track. Anyway, I have tried. Best Regards
I experience this bug as well. Umbrello SEGV with SIGSEGV 11 when starting a new template and discarding the old one. Specifically, the actions I am taking are: 1. I am opening an already existent .xmi document 2. I press the "new" button and umbrello crashes The application only crashes when the new button is pressed; other buttons, such as "save" or "open" do not cause a crash. Using the "new" button from the file menu also causes the crash. The .xmi document was made in the same version of Umbrello. I am on Ubuntu jaunty and installed the kubuntu-desktop meta-package. Upon crashing, Umbrello tries to start a backtrace but terminates early with a complaint that the backtrace would be useless: "This backtrace appears to be of no use. This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash." I ran umbrello from the command line and received these messages: karmic@flip:~$ umbrello umbrello(30792): Attempt to use QAction "edit_undo" with KXMLGUIFactory! umbrello(30792): Attempt to use QAction "edit_redo" with KXMLGUIFactory! KCrash: Application 'umbrello' crashing... sock_file=/home/karmic/.kde/socket-flip/kdeinit4__0
- Any news about this crash with a recent KDE version? (4.2.4/4.3.1) Thanks
