Here's the scoop.  I start Mandriva 2009 and click the Menu button.  Everything disappears to a white screen, except for the little crash notification where I got the below information.  This has happened since I first installed Mandriva 2009, and after I updated it with the latest versions, and every time after that, so it's happening without the help of anything else.  Anyway, I copy the info, close the box, the desktop and taskbar reappear with everything in place.  I click the Menu button again and just the taskbar (along with everything on it) disappears and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Bkspc and relogin, where the same thing happens again usually.  It doesn't happen every time, just most of the time.

Here's the info that was given me to send you.  I don't have access to debug versions of KDE.  Isn't Mandriva sweet?
