Description rusconi 2009-01-15 18:10:49 UTC
Version:           Version 1.11.90 Using KDE 4.2.60 (KDE 4.2.60 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090106)) (using Devel)
Compiler:          gcc (Debian 4.3.2-1.1) 4.3.2  / g++ (Debian 4.3.2-1.1) 4.3.2
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

I have three incoming mail accounts (local mailbox files) in1, in2 and in3. I download the mail from each account into a different folder (inbox1, inbox2 and inbox3, respectively). All three accounts have the "Include in manual mail check" checkbox ticked while only the **first** has the "Enable interval mail checking" checkbox ticked.

Now, when I click onto the icon of manual mail checking and select inbox1, nothing happens. If I click on either inbox2 or inbox3, the program works normally and downloads mail from in2 and in3, respectively.

Do not know if this is meaningful : the one account that does not work is the one that has the "Enable interval mail checking" checkbox ticked. However, unticking it does not correct the bad behaviour.

I tried to add one other account so that it would be located at the top of the list (I assume the list is alphabetical) but KMail crashed on me. Upon relaunching of KMail, the "check mail at startup" worked ok and I got a flurry of messages from in1.

Aside from this problem, I find KDE 4.2 amazing.

Cheers,

Filippo

Did it happened only once? or everytime?

Well, no, it is not systematical. I did not reproduce it recently. Thanks

May be the one accounts was already fetching mail and didn't start again?

I have not experienced this. Please report back if you were able to reproduce this on a stable kde 4.3
