Version: 2.2.0 (using 4.1.96 (KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.2 RC1)) "release 76.2", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.7-9-default To edit exif data of files read-only (r--r--r--), gwenview no warning, does not save changes
I am not sure about what you mean: the only Exif field Gwenview can adjust is "orientation", and I just checked it warns you when it can't save the image. Maybe you are using a KIPI plugin?
Yes, it is true, I use plugins KIPI. .>rpm -qa | grep kipi libkipi5-4.1.3-4.7 libkipi6-4.1.96-63.1 libkipi0-0.1.6-1.60 kipi-plugins-0.1.5-65.13 kde4-kipi-plugins-0.2beta6-11.12 .> (Gwenview program) Open the menu plugins => Images => Metada => Edit EXIF
OK, it's probably a problem in the KIPI plugin then. Let's reassign it.
In Metadata Edit kipi-plugin dialog, if file is read-only, all field are disable and annotation (READ ONLY) appears on the title of dialog. This is not enough ? Gilles Caulier
No feedback from user since a long time. Gilles Caulier
New Kipiplugins 4.11.0 is available : https://www.digikam.org/node/740 Can you reproduce the problem with this release ? Gilles Caulier
Since the tool is moved to digiKam core with 5.0.0 release, this problem is not reproducible. Gilles Caulier
