Description chris olive 2009-01-14 15:26:19 UTC
Version: yes used on gnome desktop (using KDE 4.1.3)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

K mail worked fine for some days, and I really liked it. But in the last two days the desktop size has increased so the the title bar etc no longer appears so that the only way of closing is > file > quit. it can no be 'parked'.
Also for some reason incoming mail is sent to trash folder even though it is told 'inbox'.
Ubuntu intreped compaq 1.7 ghtz

Do you have this problem with another applications. Do you use Compiz as window manager?
Thanks :)

Thanks for replying.
No I did try installing Wine once and that after a day or two did the same.
I did correct that by 'root' and changing the size there, but cannot remember how on earth I did it.
I removed Wine as it gave far too many problems, and have now removed k-mail and reloaded it but still the same problem, pity as I really liked it.
Would using Gnome desktop make a difference?
Once again thanks for your help

tried loading KDE desktop and when using Kontact 'mail' opens fine, so while I still do not know what caused the problem I am fine with this 'workaround'

This is a Compiz bug.
