Version:           0.9.5-beta2 (using 3.5.9, compiled sources)
Compiler:          Target: i586-manbo-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.8-desktop-69mib

digikam 9.5b2
kipi-plugins 0.1.7

i select "import" menu
then
"get a picture from scanner"
then
i have the error message :
 
"Aucun service de numérisation de KDE disponible. Veuillez vérifier votre installation" (no scanner service available from kde, check your settings)

same message with Gwenview

my scanner works well with open office

install libkscan for KDE3 and all will be fine.

i installed kooka. i assume this installed libkscan 
now i can import with my scanner
