Description Willi Richert 2009-01-10 17:36:50 UTC
Version: 1.1 (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-9-generic

It would be nice if one could save the current view of dolphin as a profile or "bookmark" in the menus. Such a profile should contain each currently opened tab with its directory. That would be a real time saver and productivity booster.

The lack of a facility to define alternative profiles is the one "missing feature" in dolphin that causes me to continue to use konqueror as my preferred file manager. In other respects, dolphin is IMHO the better application.

Hopefully, this facility will be added to dolphin in the near future.

I think it's still relevant as Dolphin doesn't have profile support yet.
