Description Marc Fearby 2009-01-10 03:42:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Viewing and editing text within kjots preserves any blanks lines I have to separate pieces of information, but exporting a page to HTML scrunches all lines together, stripping out my blank lines.

I use kjots mainly to keep notes on various programming languages, as a quick and easy reference, and would like to export to HTML to make them available elsewhere for convenience. However, losing the blank lines makes it difficult to read.

Thanks.

P.S., a pie-in-the-sky wish would be to add the ability to syntax highlight a block of text according to a right-click menu choice listing different languages. I realise this would involve a lot of work, and I don't know c++, but I can dream all the same :-)

KJots has been retired for almost a year, all bugs for it are being closed.

Quoting the public announcement
https://kontact.kde.org/blog/2024/2024-07-01-kde-pim-may-june-2024/#retiring-kjots-and-knotes

We have decided to retire the KJots and KNotes applications. These applications have not seen any support or development in many years and are not in a state that we feel comfortable shipping to our users. With the introduction of Marknote, KDE can now offer a modern, well-maintained note-taking application that we can recommend users to migrate to. The latest release of Marknote has gained support for importing notes from KJots and KNotes, so no notes will be lost.
