Description Thomas Otterbein 2009-01-08 14:26:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.3)
Compiler: Kubuntu 8.10
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When I move a mail from my inbox to another folder on the same IMAP-Server it disapears from my inbox does not reapear in the other folder. Despite of that the Web-Interface of my mail provider (GMX) shows it in it's new location correctly. However if i use the search function of kmail (Tools|Find Messages...) it also finds the message and reports the new location but still does not show it if I click on it.
The "Move-To"-Function in the pop-up menu works as expected and shows the mails in the new location.
I see that this issue reappears for years now in almost every KMail-Version. What I learn from this is not to use the "Move"-Function anymore. However I would love to see my missing mails again (they are all there according to the Web-Interface). Probably it's as simple as refreshing the cache. However KMail does not seem to provide an option for that (Refresh Local Imap Folders does not do the job as I work fully on the server).

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
