Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources Any application using phonon-xine and NOT outputting any video produces around 900 wakeups per second, I have no video only material, so maybe it's the same there to, just the other way round. Reproduce: Any phonon media player should be suitable, I am using dragonplayer as it plays video and audio and is simple. The wakeups/second get reported by powertop from intel www.lesswatts.org/projects/powertop/ Video with audio leads to ~ 70 wakeups/second (fine) audio only (mp3) leads to ~900 wakeups/second (ugly) Also happens with amarok2, didn't try other phonon using software. The interesting software versions: libxine: 1.1.16 phonon: svn revision 906930 (4.1.87) /trunk/kdesupport/phonon kde: 4.1.87 packages from opensuse buildservice kernel 2.6.27.7 powertop 1.10 I noticed this is related to recently worked on knotify4 bugs, but it didn't seem to fix it for me, maybe I got the wrong svn branch? Thanks for your time!
Same here with openSuSE 11.1 and 4.1.3
