Description Christian González 2009-01-07 12:19:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When starting kopete the first time, it produces a message when you want to close it with the [X]:

Closing the main window will keep Kopete running in the system tray. Use 'Quit' from the 'File' menu to quit the application.
[ ] Do not show this message again.

This text fills up half of my 1680 screen.
That's way too much for an info box.

Please insert an "\n" after the first sentence, like this:
Closing the main window will keep Kopete running in the system tray.
Use 'Quit' from the 'File' menu to quit the application.

..and it will be half the size.
It just looks unprofessional the current way.

Can you please check if that bug is still present?
Comment 2 Christian González 2010-08-02 10:47:01 UTC
No. I mean, yes. Hm. Using KDE SC 4.5 RC2
No, it doesn't fill the screen, but now is compressed to a minimum, due to the manual setting of <br>s (I think).

Ehm, honestly - this is an unpretty workaround, but - does Qt/KDE not provide sane defaults for messageboxes to be displayed correctly?
What's the problem here

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
